NORTH Link and RMIT University have been actively
engaged in greenhouse emission reduction activities, in partnership
with the Australian Greenhouse Office since 1998 and have achieved
many successes over that period.
In December 2007, NORTH Link was again contracted by the
Australian Greenhouse Office to provide assistance to Greenhouse
Challenge member businesses in the northern region of Melbourne,
following on from the success of the similar programs in 2004,
2005, 2006 and 2007.
Once again, NORTH Link and RMIT University are pleased to
announce the successful completion of the student projects
with industry on emission reductions for 2008 and are delighted
with the results achieved in this fifth year of the program.
The program involved 13 companies in Melbourne's north during
2008 and identified emission reductions of over
30,000 tonnes/year and annual energy cost savings of $4
million.
The program is continuing throughout 2009 and if you have any
queries or your company is interested in joining future programs
please contact Mick Butera, Executive Director, NORTH Link on (03)
